John Cain's new CD will be released March 1, 2013. It is The John Cain Jazz Trio, recorded "live" at the Life's A Good Gig Arts And Music Festival last September.

Grant Clarkson is on bass and Marly Waak is on drums.

The songs are a collection of jazz standards and blues.

The famous supper club Anthology closed its doors on Dec 31 2012.  The John Cain Orchestra played the last gig there on Dec. 30 with singer Roman Palacios and singer KatieCat.

Cain is currently music director for "A Fundamental Change," a new musical play that is in pre-production. The musical will open September 20, 2013 at the Lyceum Theater in San Diego, California.

Just got back home from a brief stint in Arizona. I did a class seminar on Latin music at Arizona Western College. Then later played with singer KatieCat with the Yuma Jazz Company, a very hip 5 piece combo, at the Village Jazz Series, broadcast on KAWC-FM Radio

Next day went to Paradise Valley (Phoenix area) for a performance with KatieCat at a private event. It was a blast!

Cain will once again be conducting the band at Anthology-San Diego's premier live music venue-for the "Sinatra Show." This time the star singer will be the fabulous Roman Palacios with a special guest appearance by singer KatieCat. Cain wrote all the arrangements, will conduct the band and play piano.

Cain will be back at Silo's in Napa California on April 28 for an enetertaining evening of fun and music with singer KatieCat and percussionist Kiko Jimenez. Details in the Performance Dates section of this website.

John Cain Combo will be doing a Sinatra Tribute Show at Anthology in San Dioego. Dave Stager and KatieCat featured performers.

Cain will be interviewed on the Kellie in the Morning Radio Show on Oct.6, 2010-8:40a.m.  The station is 99.3fm The Vine and 1440am KVON in Napa, Ca. We hope you'll tune in or check it out on the internet-it will be "streamed" live.

One of the songs from Cain's "Silly Songs & Lullabies" album 

was selected to be on a compilation CD from Parma Records. 

The song is "The Earth Is Your Mama."

Kanaljazz is an online radio station Based in Paris, France and broadcasts from the Shoutcast server based in the United States. The station specializes in contemporary and indie jazz music along with other genres of the like. The station has a special interest in the sounds of French, British, Australian and European jazz. Kanaljazz streams 24 hours a day, 7 days a week of continuous airplay. Today, the station is mostly listened to in the USA, France, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Eastern Europe and South America.

Cain was featured on the March 2008 cover of the magazine La Sonrisa Latina, a publication that caters to the Latin dance and music communities throughout the southwestern U.S.

At 3 pm on Jan. 29 Cain is interviewed by noted Latino rights activist Enrique Morones on his weekly radio show.

Cain was interviewed for the August 2008 issue of The Tango Times magazine.

Although we receive no financial support from the Mexican government, we do work closely with them. 90% of the children that we care for are brought to us by Mexican Social Services. We have very few true orphans. Many of our kids have been abandoned or come from abusive homes some are with us because their parents simply can no longer care for them. If the children are here due to financial hardship, we encourage their parents to come visit their children as often as they can. Occasionally the children are able to return to their families if it has been determined that they are able to care for them.
All our support comes in the form of donations for the US. We work with churches, corporations, and service organizations. The majority of our funding comes from individuals with a desire to help the children. Less than 3% of our budget is used for fundraising.
We are a 501©3 non-profit organization and are able to accept tax-deductible charity donations. Such donations can be money (contributions, sponsorships, etc) or goods. We are happy to provide a receipt for all donations. In the case of goods, our receipt can be used to show what you donated, but not to establish its value for your tax return.. Tax ID #41-2063114

Cain will be in Yuma Arizona on Monday Feb. 25 at the Barnes & Noble store for an author event then will be interviewed on KSWT-TV at 5:30 pm. Tuesday Feb 26 he will give a seminar/performance at North Arizona University, Yuma.

Cain was invited along with guitarist extraoridinare Jose Molina Serrano to perform at the Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival in Mexico. The week long festival runs from March 2 through March 9. Musicians perform at various venues around the town. Cain and Molina will also do a special performance for local school kids.
